The importance of the tongue-
Whatever is on our heart, whatever we think, and consider, whatever is in our own desires, will eventually be made known. How? some may say by the attitude with which we carry ourselves, others will say through the actions that we do, while these can be true- Jesus told us it was by our mouth.
"A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks (NKJV, Luke 6:45)."
"A good person produces good deeds from a good heart, and an evil person produces evil deeds from an evil heart. Whatever is in your heart determines what you say (NLT)."
"The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart (NASB)."
